Rose Saylor, Barnes Point
Lake Crescent, Washington

Lake Crescent from Barnes Point
This scene of Lake Crescent was photographed by 1906, looking west from the west side of Barnes Point. Rosetta “Rose” (Craig) Saylor once ran the Marymere Hotel. Rosetta “Rose” (Craig) Saylor (1863–1945) married (3) Henry Littleton (1857–1929), on December 18, 1906, at Piedmont, Washington. Rose (Craig) Saylor Littleton and Mary Daum later started Rosemary Inn, which was named from a combination of their first names. This postcard has two postmarks on the other side, both dated Sept. 8, 1906, from the Piedmont Post Office and the Port Crescent Post Office, and also a postmark on this side, dated Sept. 14, 1906, from a Seattle Post Office.
