Piedmont, Washington
Lake Crescent, Washington

This scene shows the Log Cabin Hotel, built in 1895, and the road from Port Crescent
where it reached the north shore of Lake Crescent at Piedmont, Clallam County,
Washington. The hotel appears to have been photographed from the foot of the Piedmont
ferry dock as timber curbs and planking are visible in the bottom right corner of the
photograph.

This scene of the Log Cabin Hotel was photographed by about 1919. An American flag is
partially visible at the top of the tall flagpole. A large bell is visible in the
roofed viewing platform at the top of the hotel's log constructed observation
tower.

This scene, photographed by 1914, shows the 2-story Hotel Crescent which began
operating in 1908. The Hotel Crescent was located near the Log Cabin Hotel at Piedmont.
The Hotel Crescent was only operated for a little over a decade before it burned down
in 1919.

This scene, photographed by 1919, is another view of the Hotel Crescent which
apparently was also sometimes referred to as the Piedmont Hotel as is noted on
this photograph.

This scene, photographed about 1921, is looking southward from Piedmont across Lake
Crescent towards Mount Storm King. The scene was photographed soon after road
construction began along the south shore, as evidenced by the fresh road cut at
Sledge Hammer point, shown on the left side of the photograph. On the right side of
the photograph, Devil Point and buildings at Harrigan Point are visible along the
north shore.

This scene is an early bird's-eye view of Piedmont, at Lake Crescent, Clallam County,
Washington.
