This scene, photographed by the early 1940s, shows the main lodge or “guest house” with adjoining dining room that was at Ovington's Resort, on Lake Crescent, Washington. Nestled in the trees about the guest house were twenty, rustic, log and wood frame constructed cottages. A small orchard and garden provided fresh fruits and vegetables for the dining room.
